I have always been a tad stuck in the 80's era so after my daughter came along (following two big brothers), I was determined to put my ability to make ribbon barrettes to good use. I knew I could possibly make a classic out of the simple but chic ribbon barrette that I wore as a girl so I dug out my originals (circa 1982) and went to work. Since all of the girls of my generation are the Moms of today, I figured I had nothing to lose and would at minimum bring back some memories. As a busy Mom of three young ones, I always felt I needed to make my daughter look pretty (especially with three little ones it was rare I did) and the easy way for me to do that was to put something whimsical and catchy in her hair. I made barrettes, pony O's and headbands and she loved them and more importantly would keep them on her head!
The Lilly's Ribbons on-line collection is a very exciting step for us.
